Random Damage

just blows you away the sort of skill these guys have.

Maybe it's just me, but especially with the video SnipaDuDe- linked, do soldier rockets (in particular) normally crit that often? I know the chance for a crit shot scales with damage done over a period of time, but that just looks insane.
unless they increase the % manually for those matches?
can anyone clarify?

I think it works on a skill basis somewhat.

First, a quick primer on how the critical hit system works. Each player's chance of successfully rolling for a critical hit depends on two factors:

* A base chance, which is fixed per weapon (2% for all non-melee weapons, 15% for melee)
* An additional bonus, which is based on the amount of damage you've done to enemies in the last 20 seconds. This bonus linearly scales with damage up to a maximum of 10%.

He played awhile back before cevo decided to turn off random crits since they're sorta unfair but the more damage you do in a life the better the chance of a crit rocket are so it just means he has done literally A LOT of damage to get like 3 out of the 4 in the clip to be crit = P

Edit : Midget i think that's newer new's because i saw that but i'm pretty sure reptile played before that to where the chances can go over 10% because if you watched that video he got a lot more then 10% of his rockets being criticals

That movie is really, really old. Back then your crit chance was a LOT higher. I don't recall the exact numbers but you were able to ramp up the chance to about 35% I think. Nowadays you don't see many crits... Which is good! ;)

Absolutely incredible, I loved it. It LOOKED amazing, let alone all the details and little effects.

Yeh, that's what i thought at first.
But if you watch back the video either 1) he's very lucky with the crit % (he gets 3 in a row, followed by a couple of others pretty much every other shot) or 2) he's getting kritzkrieged and the graphics aren't showing.
that or my numbers are out.

EDIT: yes, the lowering of the crit % which they patched a while back would probably explain it. completely forgot about that one. cheers

Those headshots were sick! I remember when I did a sick headshot, I was a sniper, And a scout pass right trough a way and a centimeter before he passed the wall, I headshotted him.

This video is not old, I saw a jarate and cloak and dagger. No, pros don't use Force-A-Nature or Bonk! Atomic Punch, same for The Huntsman. Anyway, The mid-air backstab was unbelievable!
I saw a bug, A spy with a third arm!!!
