Wait what? Genesis isn't underground? Very true, Genesis is in fact a very well known band, but mostly they are well known for Phil Collins and the pop tunes from the 80's and 90's. Not for their good stuff before *clears throat* Phil Collins destroyed the band. Back when they had Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel. Back when they and others like Yes and King Crimson forged into the music scene with new and inspiring ideas and material.
Granted, even Genesis from the late 60's and 70's wasn't particularly "underground" then. But for the purposes of this website and most of our members, most if not all of this will be quite new material and should give you an insight into what the band really consisted of before their pop years.
While the production may not be as sleek as that of today's bands, the material stood out and helped to define an entire genre of music. So, for those of you who may have never looked into the band's history, now is your chance.
