Two Common Mistakes​

Two of the more common mistakes Admins make in the server are:

1. Kicking AFK's. If you are an Admin in-game and you notice someone is AFK and it is disrupting game play, move them to Spectator. All Admins have the power to move AFK's to Spec! If the server is not full, or the hours are not in prime time gaming hours, then the move to Spec is the right thing to do.

If a player is AFK in a full server and it is not too late in the day, kicking is acceptable. This goes with players with limited classes too. Do not kick an AFK with a limited class when you can move them to Spec for being AFK. Think before you kick!

2. Reserved Classes. In some of our games, we have limits on classes. This ensures balanced game play. If someone is not good at a class or you want to play that class, kicking or moving them to get the limited class is not acceptable. You, like everyone else must wait your turn. There is no "SHARE" rule on limited classes.

Sorry, there are a lot of perks to being an Admin, but kicking people with limited classes is not one of them.

Good thing I never made that mistake due to helpful admins everywhere to tell you NOT to do that

That might do more bad than good.

That can be bad. I wouldn't be proud of kicking that many people a day, unless of course it was required.

I always move AFK's to spec if the server isn't full. And I never kick/move people because I want a class, in that case I ask. But it's rather sad though when one of our snipers on dod_strand have like 7 kills and 78 deaths, and that person ignores everyone who asks to get the sniper class.

As annoying as it can be, there's nothing we can do.

I always use the checkafk command on afk's. That way they go to spec if they are afk, and it ensures that they definatly get the message. If its a full sevrer I'd wait a few more minutes and use the checkafk command again.
