Typing help

Hey guys recently whenever i go into my console in game and i type in the console it will take it as if i pressed the button not in console, for example if i type M itll exit console and go into the team select. Wassup? Can anyone help?

Cleaned your keyboard? If not, try cleaning it first, to get rid of the junk under the keys.

That wouldnt affect it at all, it would be system thing not a hardwear thing

Kidding. So is this a recent development? I assume you've been able to type in console before, because you're an O. We need to establish what has changed that is causing the problem. Try clicking the text box in the console before typing. Also, feel free to add me to Steam (button below) and I'll do my best to work it out with you.

What has changed you ask? Well i know that (stupid me should have put it in the first post) Its that i changed the language of my keyboard to a diff language but now i changed it back and it still wont work, im about to try something right after i post this

EDIT: It worked - although whenever i type like ^ i need to type a plus after it, if i type a after it it ends up as ?
same with ? and if i use the " ? ? ?

Set it to default language (English Im assuming) and restart your computer. It should be fine after that.

If that did not work try resetting your key binds... My binds some how got messed up once and I had to reset them. It was a pain but everything was back to norm once i fixed them... Lol my button on my laptop to turn off the touch pad somehow got set to kill my self in game... took me forever to figure out what was happening.
