From behind the desk that is true, the medic did not need to deploy the Uber. However, in the field the players don't have 10mins to make a choice so the medic went for the guaranteed life of the soldier.

To be honest, I thought that this medic was pretty bad. For the movie he was trying to make (a medic kills movie), he did okay, but as a medic, not so much. He seemed more interested in killing enemies and capping points more than he did heal his teammates. As a result, all of his "patients" died. He would not be a valuable asset to his team, in my opinion. He would be better off healing and retreating.
 
First of all this was a competition or a match between people that only had 5 on each side. Second of all crits were disabled. In a regular game, it's really hard to dodge all the crits going around the place, and even that, the number of people everywhere is also hard to dodge. Put that all aside though he is a good medic in my opinion.

I don't understand where your coming from on this. He acctually did a great job trying to save/keep his team alive in the game and for the match. Like someone posted earlier his team wasn't great he would of been better with a better team. Image a medic with no one skilled to uber.

I just don't think that the medic was being a medic. He was more interested in killing rather than healing.
 
Watching that video again, I don't believe there was a single time where this guy got a teammate killed by neglecting to heal him. Everyone getting shot at got healed, and if they got killed regardless, well, that's the way the game works. He ONLY takes out his weapons in these instances:

1. His teammates get killed and he is alone (at which point he runs back to his spawn and tries to kill pursuers)
2. An enemy player gets by his teammates and tries to kill him (meaning that enemy has to die as FAST AS POSSIBLE, even if the medic has to do it)
3. A point needs to be defended or captured (preventing from losing or causing his team to win).

Also, his teams soldiers never really ditch this medic to die. For the most part, they're always a quick rocket jump back to the medic, either to get heals or defend him. Also, there's an indication of how skilled this team REALLY is. There's no need to babysit the medic, he can take care of himself! They can trust the medic to inform them when he needs help, and take care of situations himself. Thus, they can focus on getting to good positions and killing the enemy players, knowing they can rely on the medic to be where they need him to be.

back then your uber didn't drain 9000x faster when you uber more than 1 person.
Back then dual ubers were common, hell triples and quads were not really that hard either.
But they fixed that D:

Don't worry woodstock we are only medics, we can't heal 31 people at once.

good stuff!! actually reminds me of how i play medic...altho he is much more accurate with the Uber Saw then i am....i am gettin better tho!!
