Friday Night Meeting Notes
249 people including 11 advisors, 8 division leaders, 2 council members, 2 community leaders in attendance at 11:05 central meeting start time. Ended up just about maxing out vent during the meeting. 215 people also watched on the live video stream over the web.

Starting with news about America?s Army 3
voice in teamspeak3 is pretty good, they are running it for free. We?ll have to get our own server but won?t have to pay to run it. Might switch from vent to Teamspeak depending on the bandwidth cost and if we like TS3. We?ll test TS once the client/server comes out and make sure everything is working properly before we decide to make any switches.
Bad news about AA3 is pretty damn buggy. We?re not sure if that will be fixed. We have to pay to get ranked, pay each month to stay ranked on top of the server/bandwidth/ranking/etc. So it is expensive and buggy right now.
Dragonhill gives AA3 a 50/50 chance that it might be fixed. On hold for the immediate future.
Other games
Trying to support Neo-Tokyo, have about 10 people who want to play, it?s not out yet.
Shoddy Admining
Had to let go a pretty popular DoD admin. If you can?t admin correctly there?s nothing we can do. He was warned about 8 times. We usually let admins go in silence. It?s not just him. One of them in is in DoD especially, you can?t use your admin power to distribute weapons. Can?t push pubs to take or leave sniper/bazooka/etc.
Don?t question another admin?s ability on the server. Don?t argue on the server, do it in private. In the servers, we back each other up. If you want to talk in admin chat, even there don?t argue, you have a condump. Especially eG?s, don?t question the admins, PM someone on the forums. We get about 100 complaints a day and we check up on some of them to see the logs and double check to see what happened.
In the case we were talking about, the guy that complained had his sniper taken from him, was complaining, had 8 or 9 legitimate complaints and so we had to let our admin go. It?s in the admin logs, so we can always go back to check. We?re not afraid to get rid of Admins.
Server Management
Often in a server where this is 12-20 people and there?s 4 people in specs, and admins threaten to kick the specs on a non-full server. We want them to be here because it fills the server and adds to rank. It?s harder to fill the server up if the server shows up with less people anyway. Even if a server is full, if it?s 1 or 2 in the morning, not primetime, you might not get these people back. Unless it?s primetime on a full server, you shouldn?t be kicking.
eG?s have the ability to switch everyone to spec if they are afk with a needed weapon. This doesn?t work in INS because of the module used. Call of Duty doesn?t have any admin command that moves people to spec. Call of Duty has slightly different rules, depending more on if the server is full. All the steam based games, don?t be kicking spectators.
Radio Talk Show Host

T-Shirts
Hopefully by Tuesday, the 30th we will have the T-shirts, we?re delayed by Verizon?s $1,000 check and they sent it, so we should get those soon. Will cost around $3,000 which is $2,000 out of the general fund.
Verizon
Meeting with Verizon didn?t go exactly as planned, went well. Verizon is interested in getting more servers for us. Doesn?t want to pay for the servers we have, they only do West Coast, not our Texas based servers. But we might be getting more free servers (2 new boxes!)

Side Note - The new box for TF2, the arena maps is not doing well, we?re going to find something new to do with the server. Since Gravel Pit is such a hit, going to move that one possibly to a Dallas Box. They want the MOTD on the server.
If the West Coast servers are not popular, we won?t get any more.
Raffle
Verizon is not interested in any raffle stuff, and they will not let us have raffles. So If we are with Verizon there is no raffle information on the website or in the servers that they pay for. We will be giving away an IBuyPower computer and there will probably be a party coinciding with T-Shirt delivery. We will also be giving away a monitor from Viewsonic, a 22? shown on the website.
Donations
We?re pretty poor because we?re going to be paying cash for the T-Shirts, plus the cost of the servers for July, we will not be able to pay for August without donations. $2,000 per month is our server cost. August is a dark month right now because of the cash expense of the T-Shirts.
Project X
Project X is a source mod that eGO is helping to develop. We have around 90 members to sign up including testers and a core team of 30 game design people. The project is a 32 player team based asymmetrical warfare style, teams are totally different from each other. One is a holy/magic based team versus conventional forces. The mod is multiplayer only, with a visual look similar to present based style TF2 a la Pixar style. The game will also have an RPG component meaning you will level up during a game round.
Right now we have the and running in testing in Internal Alpha. The next step is to package the code to send to alpha game testers. Anyone who is interested in working on the project, contact

Dragonhill who will direct you to the appropriate section lead. We are expecting a higher skill level as the project moves forward for new team members.
Project X is the placeholder name,

Artimus are looking at trademarking the actual name the team wants to use, so look for a name change in the future.
Anyone who has any type of professional speaking background we encourage to apply for voice acting in about 3-4 weeks when we have lines from the writers to start recording for in game.
Timeline for Beta is around the end of September.
Call of Duty
Our World of War server is 127 which is our highest ranked server in the division. We?re about ready for another CoD server. In regards to spectators, we don?t have a whole lot, but there isn?t a whole lot of room, we give people who are afk warnings, but it is a fight to get into the servers, so some specs will get kicked.
Counterstrike
All 3 West Coast Servers are doing awesome. Upcoming tournament, news will be released soon. Will be following TF2 on event coordination and the types of things that will be coming up. 4-5 eGO?s will help out with event coordination, new events, more exciting maps. Day of Defeat
No new events, but the regular events are still going on and the event server is now open to the public when it is not being used. When it comes to kicking AFK?s, when we have a full server and 4 or 5 are AFK, do not kick them all at once. Kick one and wait for the slot to fill, that way we don?t lose more people all of a sudden. For our overseas, we will be doing an event for all of our Euromembers (and night owls) We will be looking for help running the event and filling the slots. That poll will be up in DoD forums after the meeting.
Insurgency
INS servers have been doing great. Our Dust/Office server is still at #2 and our BAS server is at #3 and both are holding their ranks. Our renewed BAR server is climbing the ranks and doing well. When you go into the server, seeding is great if the population is low, but another good thing to do is to actually play in the server. If people come in and see a whole bunch of seeders in spec and only 3-4 playing, they still leave. Please play in the servers. We?ve had some scrims recently, scrim training and boot camp are ongoing. Monday and Friday for the scrim training. Boot camp is every Thursday Night and Sunday nights are boot camp/scrims. TF2
Servers are almost all in the Top100, and the newer Verizon servers are almost up into the top 100 (started in the 1000s). The AR?s are doing great, 220 new recruits this month, 190 accepted, Need a lot more help from the standard members. It?s everyone?s job to recruit. Still doing Euro events usually on Wednesdays and Sundays at 2pm central time. Monday Madness meet and greet. Couple of new events, Saturday Midnight central 21+; Friday night events, fun mini-games and other small events; TF2 league competitive play is in its second week and will be finishing up regular play and moving into single elimination rounds soon.
AR?s playing in TF2 servers, please make sure you have removed your AR tag from your name.

Why no L4D division
We were involved in beta testing, but it?s not a game you can build a large community / division around.
How much do T-Shirts Cost
T-Shirts are free with a $30 donation in the US or $40 for outside the US.
Can we get more CS:S admins for night time
Getting more admins is your job. If you know late night admins, you need to point them out. If you like playing with someone, send advisor/DL a PM about it.
Will eGO have Arma 2 and Operation Flashpoint 2 divisions
Arma 2 is buggy, Op Flashpoint no comment, we're always looking for new multiplayer games.
Will eGO ever have a console division
We're mostly about PC games, there are no plans for a console division at this point, but it might be something to consider.
Can we see custom maps on the servers
This is unique to the individual divisions. We look at community maps and have added them to the servers.
