I've been playin 1.6 for a while, and I'm just wondering if there are some nice GUIs for CS:S, and what should i set my rates at? That would be awesome... Thx guys...

Hey, I used to play 1.6 haha, sooo much different shooting style compared to source. I have the cal-gui, and you can download from here: http://www.eco-league.com/files/cssfiles/CAL_CSS_GUI_v2.0.zip

As far as rates, go into game and type the following commands into console (~).

cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100
rate 25000

Rate can be set from 25000 - 30000, it depends on gfx card and personal preference. If you need any other help, as in learning hitboxes and how each shoots, I can help you out. Otherwise, I hope to see you in game soon!

Well our servers are 66 tick so..

cl_cmdrate 66
cl_updaterate 60
rate 25000

i might have cmdrate and updaterate mixed around

you should set them to 100 tho, the server overwrites your config so it will automatically lower it to 66 and 60 for our servers, but if you join a 100 tick server it will stay at 100/100. so just set it to 100/100

yeah go tthe basic training so that you can get used to the change. its a lot more fun. there are a lot less hackers in source than there is in 1.6. hope you enjoy the change man and good luck in the servers and have fun

Attend Basic Training. ask myself or one of the other instructors for a private lesson to get ya up to speed.
