I really, really wish I could find a FAN. It's the only item I haven't gotten yet.

And what's this about the Linux data? Could there be some hope of seeing TF2 only Macbook without bootcamp?!

The Linux info refers to the Linux server. There still is no native UNIX style TF2 game, unfortunatly.

Removing the razorback speed removal is FAIL. As a spy, I respect those snipers who choose to have a bit of a speed hobble to force me to be more clever. But to let them have no backstabs AND have no speed penalty is too much. Killing a Razorback sniper requires some pistol/knife jutsu... I fear seeing too many razorbacks on the field now. Instead of being a choice, it's a nobrainer. At least we have Jarate vying for the Razorback slot.

I actually don't like that you can't swap viewmodels whilst on server. I thought it was a very ingenious technique. Although I guess now you can be ingenious in deciding which viewmodel to pick based on maps still.

And the FAN/Airblast knockback reinstallation is FAIL. Spies don't need another way for people to ACCIDENTALLY figure out who they are. Like I said, a spychecking pyro uses flame, not airblast. But a pyro airblasting some crap out of the way can't fail to notice that that friendly Engineer over there got knocked back. And disguises no longer show blood, so shooting somebody and looking for blood isn't enough. But now Scouts can finger spies not by damage but by knockback.

The bugs fixed needed to be fixed, but the other stuff is FAIL.

<facepalm>

The razorback use to be a penalty for snipers. Reduces movement speed so spies can 2-3hit with revolver instead of stab. You can see the freaking shield, why would you stab. Now it's just useless instead of being a handicap.

I can't speak for the FAN cause I don't use it, but no pyro spychecks with the airblast. The airblast is for when a spy is dumb enough to attempt a backstab while the other team is watching. The pyro sees the spy and airblasts him back, saving his teammate. Pyros, scouts, soldiers, anyone with some kind of knockback deserves to be able to save their teammate from spies like these.

Also the airblast was used for trapping spies in corners, setting them up for an axtinguish, etc. NOT blowing out their flames.

And scouts spycheck better by running into people, not shooting. They have the speed for that.

Blame all the people crying on the steam forums.

I blame them for everything that shouldnt have happened.

FaN dmg boost being one of them. It's the player's fault if he cant hit the guy more than 2 times.

Seriously now you can't bind a key to switch view models in game?

I don't think you coul bind it before, but you could write a script, which is what i did, and omg was it extremely usefull. maybe if i go to the steam forum and complain like everyone else i can get them to change it back. :S

Yeah, but at least it's fixed now. And as for the other updates, let's just say they are going to make life hard on spies once more.

hardlife for spies? i get back stabbed enough as it is so it must not be very hard to begin with. :(
