FPS problems (REALLY NEED HELP!)

Today i logged into counterstrike and i started playing a game all of a sudden i was getting 9 fps it wasnt changing at all it was dead 9 i changed my rated restarted steam ive uninstalled steam. and yesterday i was getting 100 - 120 FPS some one help please.

Check your video drivers. If they crashed and Windows went to its built-in drivers, you would notice a drastically lower framerate. The first thing to do here is restart your computer so Windows can try to load the correct drivers again. If that doesn't work, reinstall (or update, if you are running a few versions behind) your video card drivers.

The other thing to check is if you have something resource-intensive running in the background. If you're running a virus scan or rendering a 3D animation while trying to play a game, you will have a terrible framerate.
