Nice job. Not trying to hurt your feeling or anything so dont take this the wrong way, but, didnt you just get a picture of a seal and add text to it?

Hey, its his first time using photoshop, thats how you become better, starting with the basics.

agreed! The basics are how you get better at anything! I'm not the best photoshop user by any means but I did make my own sig and avatar that is displayed in my post. Great start Google! photoshop is fun and very in depth. Play around with every little option you can find. Take a look at some Tutorials online, do every tutorial you can get your hands on to get used to the different blending options and creative uses for all the tools. In no time you'll become pro :)
 
You can also take class in photoshop. Check your local job training place for details. Or spend the cash and do a summer class. You can learn a lot in a short amount of time, especially some of the basics, which can help out when you decide to get into more serious editing later. Looks a heck of a lot better then my first edit.
 
There's bunch of tutorials online, don't really need to take classes, even try youtube, they teach you everything lol.
 
watch youtube videos some are good and some arent but youll get some good tips
