I don't know quite what the rule on how yall deal with hackers but every clan or community that I've been with we've always gotten a demo and taken it to a high ranking admin for review. But tonight we had a e member with a bunch of pubbies accusing a regular guy of hacking. Now the player they accused has played in the server many times and I've played with him several times and I'm 100% sure that he doesn't hack. But when I was defending the guy they kept it up and accusing him. And one of the reasons I was given why they thought he was hacking was because he was on Marines and had the same amount of points as I did on Insurg. Which this reason was just dumb because I did the same thing on the next map I was Marines and had the most points on server by a lot. Now the smart thing for the e member to do would be get that demo and show it to a admin to review, but he did no such thing he almost started kinda of a riot were everyone on the insurgent side thought he was hacking. So whats the rule with that do we just accuse just anybody of hacking without proof like this e did. Or do we get the demo and show it to a admin like should be done.

There is some confusion on the proper steps to take if you happen to come across a person using or you think is using hacks.
If you come across a person using an obvious hack like "speed hacking" where the person is moving twice as fast as everyone else, record a demo.
* eG's - kick, post a ban request and send the demo to: [email protected]
* eGO's - ban on site and submit the demo to: [email protected]
Now for all other types of hacks; wallhacks, aimbots, jerky crosshairs, etc. These will require Leadership approval. Take a demo, email demo to [email protected] DO NOT BAN, DO NOT WARN OR KICK! Just keep playing and submit a ban request and wait for Leaderships response.
When you submit your ban to the above stated email address, please indicate that it's an INS demo. This will help us depict our demos to all others.

What Ghost91 has just posted is one of many reasons on why I quit being a admin and member!
Ok let's entertain the idea that we may have a HACKER on our hands and I want the =(e)='s to pay close atention to this because it's real easy to do OK.
1. do not call the person that you think maybe hacking a "HACKER" stay cool keep playing as if nothing happend. Because once you call that person a "HACKER" the gig is up! That person can simply turn off the hack or disconnect from the server. Then all is lots.
2. go into console type in this command "record demo". You can replace the name demo for something else like "record Ghost91" and Ghost91 will be the file name of that demo. Without alarming everyone go into spectate and spec this person for a bit.
3. After you think you got stuff you need to show that this person is hacking type in console "status" why status you ask it will record on the demo everyone"s Steam ID and end game this will also stop the recording of the demo.
4. After all that's done get your demo file and send to the email address listed above where I copy and pasted Hammer's Sticky or send it to a adviser.
But most of all people know on what you are talking about before you point the finger and call someone a HACKER or CHEATER!!!

Yea it was just horrible all of the ins were calling him a hacker with no proof. And to have an eGO member to start all of this was the worse part. And the person being accused as I said was a regular on the server and from what I could tell talking with him a good person.

First off, have either of you notified any member of leadership with the individual from eGO who started this ruckus? I for one would like to know who this person is so it can be taken care of.
Second, I think the instructions I set for Hackers or supposed hackers is very clear. A demo has to be taken in all accounts. For the more obvious hack "speed hacking" a demo is to be taken and submitted but, an admin can kick / ban accordingly.
If you get a person who feels a player is hacking and wants to start accusing without proof, ask them to stop the accusations. If they do not stop, mute them or depending on the situation, kick them from the server and let a member of leadership know so we can deal with that eGO member. There is no reason for anyone to blatantly accuse any member or pub of cheating, NONE what so ever.

Another report of an =e= not getting it done right. I think the first day I was recruited I was instructed on how to take care of hackers, and that we don't say hacker in the server.
It would seem that we might want to pay closer attention to the ppl that we are recruiting and put in an extra effort to effectively instruct them on the proper behavior of an EGO member.

This is a great idea. As someone who was recently recruited, I will say that nobody really goes out and teaches you what you're supposed to do. Yes, the acceptance post does say to read the stickies and follow the code of conduct, but I bet that a large percentage of new recruits just see that they've been accepted and skip the rest of the post. I know that I found the
I heard in either the last meeting or the informal Q/A afterwards that there was talk of creating an e school, where new recruits would be taught the rules of the clan through vent, where they would hopefully pay attention since they would have to make a conscious effort to be there. I think this would work better than the current setup where it is easy for anyone to get it and ignore all the prodding they get to read (and follow) the code of conduct.

I personally would not like to see anyone, eGO members or pubs accusing other people of hacking. I feel that it disrupts game play and I politely ask the person who is accusing to please stop. If I see something that is odd then I, being the admin will deal with the matter, that all being in a private message to the certain player(s) of course. If the person being accused is hacking anyways you don't want to alert them, they most likely have a key bound so that by one press of the key they can switch the hack on or off.
But just posting these isn't enough need something more. Like getting them into vent then pounding these into everyone heads.

Everyone please, this is a game that we all enjoy playing. We've also come together as a team to ensure our servers are full of mature, friendly players. There is no reason what so ever for anyone to jump to conclusions and start accusing other people of cheating. This type of behavior will not be tolerated. When one person accuses another person, it's creates tension in the game and with the players.
I'll say this one more time.
The key to creating a happy/friendly server is keeping your opinions to yourself and creating a DEMO! Submit the demo and one of my leadership members will review it and we will decide whether or not that person is cheating. NEVER ACCUSE ANYONE WITHOUT HAVING SOLID PROOF!
