hey i wish to take up webdesign as apart of a career and i was wondering if someone could get me a jumpstart on that? i want to learn how to make l33t sites like this....

yes i know the basics very well but im looking for inside information on stuff that you can't find anywhere else...

Web design takes time. Both on the coding side, and on the graphics side. There is a bunch of web related software(content management systems) out there such as our current e107 system here on Edge Gamers, PhpBB, and Simple Machines just to name a few. These, along with most websites out there require a good amount of PHP to be fully functional. As Hybrid and Morbid said, read around on the net.

Been doing design for about 7 years now. HTML, CSS, Javascript, and LAMP are usually the required background essentials for web designers. I'm actually looking to start myself after school.

Also, a degree in computer science or equivalent is needed 95% of the time, unless you're looking to do freelance work, or start your own business.
