I was looking at the game stats again, and I'm not sure whether this is a function of the BAS server becoming more popular or an issue with the Dust2 server becoming less popular, but recently BAS overtook Dust2 as the #2 insurgency server.
For as long as I've been here, Dust2 has held that number 2 slot, so I'm inclined to think it may be an issue with the recent changes we've added on to that server. Looking at the graphs (not a great indicator without hard numebers since it's a rough estimate) it seems as if BAS has held pretty consistent while overall Dust2 looks like it's been dropping.
While original Dust2 had it's issues (quite frankly I dislike the map) There may have been something to people who did like the map and also liked the fact that it was a straight frag fest 24/7 on the same map.
While original Dust2 did have issues with sudden death, the map itself was decently stable. It seems now, every time I'm playing on Dust4, the whole server freezes periodically. Also, I tend to think that it's a map issue since I've seen the same thing happen on other servers playing Dust4.
Now again, none of this is scientific, but if anyone has access to the numbers, it might be worth running through the months before and the time after the changes to see where the hiccups have been.
