An Issue with Eurocentrics

Hello, in this thread, I want to address a serious problem with our Eurocentric events. Today is July, 1st, and a Eurocentric was supposed to be held. But it didn't. As far as I am concerned, the password was not even posted in thread despite the fact that the announcement said the contrary.

The previous 2 eurocentrics didn't go smoothly either, the one before this,on June, 28th,was retimed due to Dave's computer problems, it's ok, and in no way his fault, but it would be good if someone did something to replace him.

The one before that, on June, 24th,wasn't even held, password wasn't posted and no EC's were online... despite the announcement...

Look, I know it can be hard to handle everything, but I would really like to see something done about this. A simple solution would be to bring in more European EC's, I personally know our members willing to do it.

On this note, I end this thread.

Dunno about last time, but today, the novint falcon contest took priority over the Eurocentric event. I think the event listings are automatic, so regularly, there should have been one, but we're using the fun server for the contest right now.

Having events during Euro times can be problematic due to the fact that most of eGO is made up of people in North American timezones. Because of this, we have few people able to host the events. There isn't as much of a "backup" for Euro events as there are for our other events, because there aren't as many people around to jump in if needed.

Basically, we're aware of the issues. Scrappy and I are already working on getting a few more people involved so the problems can be resolved.

I'm sorry the events haven't been going as smoothly as possible recently, and you should know we're doing our best to make sure our Euro events go as well as our primetime ones. Hopefully, this will be something we're able to fix fast.

I'll become a Euro EC. I had been talking to Scrappy about it, but we could never get a meeting to talk about whatever it is we needed to talk about. I have more time over the summer, I'll probably be frequenting vent more often now, if one of you guys wants to talk to me about this.

Another thing is that sometimes on these events the password is posted just a couple minutes before the event, could we get it posted say 15-30 minutes before the event and have the server ready so we can get right into it?
