Advice on a harley

So ive been looking at getting a little project bike to mess with on my weekends and a guy not far from me has a numbers matching 65 harley sprint that i believe is a 'h' its got a little 250 and no carb manifold or exhaust and its in need of love but my question is how hard is it to work on these and are parts really hard to find or is it fairly easy as old car/motorcycle parts go and any other advice you could give would be appreciated. i got a pic and its a red bike so it looks way rusty but its not the paint has just seen better days and no seat of course

Although I know nothing, and I mean NOTHING about motorcycles, I can give you a tip to remove the rust

Use a sandblaster and use #80 grit sand to blast the rust off, after you do that, you can use #160 grit to smooth out the surface. After that, primer it with black or gray flat spray paint, to protect the metal from rusting again.

Have you checked online for parts? (maybe THAT bike should be used for parts :0 )

lol ya dragon its in need of a lot of love but its the most complete bike i can get these things are kinda rare and thanks to Rocko's help i finally found a site that has the parts im gunna be needing so thankfully the easy parts out of the way not a good think me thinks well ill post back after i get the project going (if i can actually get the bike)
