Dust server Idea!

Guys as you know the Dust server has been falling so I thought maybe it would be time to change it up. I was looking at all insugency servers out there and in the top 10 there are 5 sinjars I was thinking that maybe we could make a 24/7 sinjar.
This is just idea if you have an Idea post it ideas never hurt.

As much as I personally don't like the Dust2 server, I don't think this would be a good idea. If you look at the trends, Dust2 has been in or around the #2 ranked insurgency server for at least the last 4 months. It's only recently that it's been dropping in rank.

That drop corresponds directly to when we made the changes to dump Dust2 and start using Dust Unlimited and Office. I think we had a lot of regulars and visitors who just played and enjoyed Dust2 24/7 and in the last month we've dumped Dust2, used two different versions of Dust and added two different versions of Office.

My guess would be that the significant amount of change is throwing off some of the regular players. It's also possible that people don't like the addition of the newer office map. Again not that I'm objective about any maps on this server, but the new Office 5 is rediculously tiny with all the spawn protection add-ons, there's hardly any gameplay.

We could probably make a Sinjar server work, but the very fact that there are 5 other servers out there already doing that with a solid population base, and that we had a #2 following with just Dust2 means we probably shouldn't trade once niche for another. Also, I believe we shut down our old Sinjar server because it wasn't performing up to spec?

correct(about old sinjar) It just wasn't doing it. Real ins players are sick of sinjar. You need to find a balance for new players and exerpianced ones. Focus'ing on 15% of the gamers(at most) with sinjar or dust2 is tough to do, but it can be done.

Yeah, I think the pubs loved Dust2.

Personally, I think Dust2 is better that Dust Unlimited, but I prefer the normal maps to both of them.

...Real ins players are sick of sinjar...

I guess that makes me a real INS player.

I think our 24/7 sinjar used to be semi-popular...but I'm not sure.

After a while, though, I started to hate sinjar and never play it.

Please dont change it! i never see it below 14 people and it by far my fav map rotation

We did have a 24/7 sinjar server at one point, and it went down in rank instead of up. Our dust2 map has been very popular, we need to give it time so it can regain in ranks again. But don't let this discourage you from giving out more ideas about the servers, we love new ideas to toss around.

we need to try help fill dust to rais its rank a bit then it will be fine and we will get a nice regular base of pubs.on a side note, if you have an idea for an event or the servers poast it dont keep it to* your self. if its in the open to the divison you never know it might happen.
