I've been really thinking about going into the freelance web design field for some spare cash. I'm gonna have my friend teach me how to code (assuming HTML and CSS are the only languages I'll need). I'm kinda lost about what to do after. Sure there's the whole business side of it, but...
After, should I set up my own site as a portfolio and sell off some templates? Should I also submit to other template-selling sites? If so, It'd really help for some reputable site names, because I'm not sure who to trust.

ya for web layout html and css are all you need. if your making actully web apps youll want to know php and java and maybe python or pearl

not really that long just learn some basics and find a site you like and look at it code and it's css file
