Whats the best MMORPG of 2009?

WoW went downhill for me. I don't play any other MMOs anymore (played all of them), and i'm just waiting on SWTOR.

I'm all set to name Fallen Earth as the best 2009 MMO. It's something new and interesting. That's all I'm going to say about it because I am restricted by the NDA and they might burn down my house for breaking it.

Pirates of the Burning Sea

Sure the 'too many servers' thing killed it, but it was a good mmo

Well, I've tried quite a few of those games, and I voted Guild Wars.

WoW: Seriously, I don't know how to describe it. The only purpose is to grind until you get money/gear/exp. Then, when you hit level 80, 70, or 60(got bored at 36) you do important things.

EVE Online: Not enough interaction. I would have liked it if it were you manually controlling your ship.

Runescape: Absolutely terrible, it's what happens when you put up MMOs for free. They aren't well done and they have bad graphics.

CoV: This bored me before level 2(recently). I could not stand the slow travel, especially when you're a SUPER VILLAIN. Shouldn't you at least get some kind of vehicle? But no, travel powers are for people level 14 or something. The holiday jetpack a few years ago interested me, I made it to lvl 5, then the holidays were over. The game became a standard MMORPG.

Hellgate: London: I have to say, this looked great at first. Almost like if Bethesda made an MMO, except no open world. I loved how each person saw their own loot, really helped in multiplayer. However, they never really got rid of the lag and people slowly stopped playing it. I don't know why I stopped, it's an MMORPFPS, and it was okay.

Guild Wars: This is like WoW, but less people, so it isn't crowded. You also get to recruit NPCs, so that's a plus. My favorite part was that you get to choose 2 Professions(classes) so you don't have to choose. Elementalist Necromancer! Necromancer Monk! No WoW proffesions, though, which was actually one good thing in Warcraft. Also, no monthly fees.

Edit:
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning(WAR): I, sadly, did not play this right and though I like PvP better than PvE, I didn't know you could just PvP from level 1! I do think that the game itself was good, just missing something. I'm not exactly sure what. Greenskins were pretty funny.
"Write some words" "Wot's this? Words wif no pictures? You're crazy!"

I's is doin' good job speakin' da good Orky langwich!

Cool, I might try Vanguard.

GW has pushed ahead!

VG was a pretty good game, however there are tons & tons of bugs. When I played 1/4 of the dungeons didnt work right, some of the housing chunks were crashing everytime youd travel to them. Groups were scarce. some places didnt even have loot tables, heh. That was earlier this year, I cant imagine in the past 4 months theyve fixed much. However the scenery was beautiful & the gameplay was a lot of fun. Its deff worth a a play, but the long term replayability is pretty limited.

Edit: One time they deleted New Targonor [a main port before the rift stones] and people traveling between continents would fall through the world to their death, was hilarious to watch.

Sadly World of Warcraft is still on the top for me;

Eve; GOD I HATED it, very difficult to get into, I didn't like the story, etc. etc.

Warhammer; way too buggy and empty still, with some work, well ALOT of work it MIGHT just JUST come near the bigger MMOs.

Guild Wars; ..... Lol

Sadly the ONLY MMO that MIGHT challenge World of Warcraft will be Star Trek Online for me, since it looks awesome, balanced, dynamic world with diplomacies constantly changing and; SCI-FI whieeeeee, but it won't be out till atleast 2010 (Q1) I believe.

They're all the same to me.
You log on.
You level up.
There's no end to the game (unless you quit).
There's no point.
When you quit, you realize you wasted a lot of time on a pointless game.

100% correct
however i personally just got back into R.O.S.E. (Rush On Seven Episodes), a private server i used to play about 9 months back. Its pretty fun.
Now if Dragon Ball Online ever gets released, it will definitely be the best MMO to have ever graced existence
