Man, I used to love starcraft, and I wanted to install it again.
The problem is, I seem to have lost the case it came in, and the CD key was on the case.

I still have the disk, is the key stored somewhere on it?

You have to have the CD Key to play the game, i'm pretty sure you can find a cheap copy laying around somewhere. Might just buy the Starcraft Battlechest so you have brood war. I have all my blizzard games synced into the battlenet account, so I just download straight off there and keeps all my CD keys. Plus it lets you sign up for D3/Sc2 beta.

The CD Key isnt stored on the disk

The CD key is on the back of the Starcraft CD case, so if you lost the case, you might be in big doo doo

Blizzard has a program where you can send your CD in and then they will mail it back in a few weeks with a new CD-Key, but it costs $10. Much easier to go to buy the Starcraft battle chest which I've found at some places for $10.

That "solution" is everything but legal too...
If you can't spend $10 for the old versions of starcraft then you really don't have the right to own a computer...
