What Unknown Games Do You Play?

I've been playing a small game called Infantry for nearly 10 years :O It's a top down third person multiplayer "shooter". It's old, you only have 64 points to rotate around but it's ridculously fun and the people who play it now are dedicatred. It's gone from nearly 10000 people back in 2002 to maybe 1000 now =(.

Why should you play it? Well chances are there is something better but there are few games that combine aiming and strategy as well as this game has. We have an ongoing CTF league that's approaching it's 13th season which is amazing in itself.

Insects Infestation, a relatively unknown half life 2 mod, when you get a full server it is incredibly fun but the mod is mostly dead.

Ok, seriously, I don;t think I have any, except maybe an assortment of Star Wars games and the original Splinter Cell. (and by the way, you're asking a bunch of random gamers from all over the world what games they play that no one else has heard of. Just though tI should point that out).

People have heard of sins of a solar empire, it just takes so long to play a game that people prefer not to talk about it after a 67 hour game. That they lost.

I'm slightly obsessed with this old game called Dragon Seeds. It came out for the playstation, I think it was before monster rancher, or around the same time. Similar style game, but more fantasy, less anime styled, and you raised different kinds of dragons. It was incredibly hard to find a Rom for it, and the actual PS disc costs like $35 on ebay/amazon, and of course, I can't find my old copy >.< Roms for me!

Oh, and I still play through the SNES Aladdin game a few times a year. One of my favorite games of all time.

I play a MUD (text-based MMORPG) called Aardwolf. It's been going for close to 15 years now, and I've played on and off for the last 8. It almost always has more than 300 people on, not bad for a text-based game.

I also play Star pirates and Spy Battle, which are basically the same game with a different skin.

Bulletsinthefire, I want to play Dune 2 now! Unfortunately, my computer doesn't take 5 1/4 floppies!

Just download it =) It's like 5 megs now. Speaking of small games the original command and conquer is like 10 megs or something ridiculously small by today's standard.

Wow i'm pretty impressed some of these games are genuinely fun. I want to try that ant game but it looks like they stopped developing it back in 2007, oh well Natural Selection 2 is hopefully coming out soon ^ ^.

But back on topic Metal Marines is a game that was developed for the SNES and I still play every couple months. You build a base and destroy your opponents by dragging and dropping missles and metal marines to their base. Behold it's awesomeness:
