Modern Warfare 2's 'Prestige Edition' Is Insane

They announced the price as being $150. No thanks. I'd rather buy 3 games. And I can't see a use for NVG's to be totally honest.

I don't know why but I have a feeling that the goggles won't be that good.

Me either, im just an enthusist :P. Ugh, I end up seeing a bunch of kids running around in the dark acting like swat team. Real NVG goggles cost at min 1k... so I doubt these are what people think as NVG. Unless they got a good deal on a bunch of old gen 3 russian NVG surplus ;). Also, what do we get with Modern Warfare 3. A sniper rifle? Ghilie suit? Or for the new WW2 theme, a m1 garand.

I think Activision is trying to make up for previous failures.

I think it's a step in the right direction, giving people something functional and interesting rather than a random tiny action figure.

I think the PipBoy Alarm Clock that Amazon gave out was a better deal to be honest, but this is pretty cool if you're a big fan of the series, it would be an awesome addition to any game-fan pre-order merch. collection, but don't look at them as your tactical NVG's, but then again, why do you need those again?

Well, even if the goggles are just something from toys r us. I can always give them to one of my little cousins.

I made a bet on Meteor Radio last Sunday (The part that got cut off...).

3 months after the release of CoD:MW2 will be the first lawsuit for damages incurred from use. A stupid kid is going to hurt himself (I'm not sure if a girl would be stupid enough to use them for "night ops") and blame it on the goggles for not functioning properly in low-light environments.

I can't wait for it to happen.

Too bad this edition isn't coming to the PC. I also saw posted that Activision is going to charge $60 for the PC version.
