Keyboard & Mouse Lockup!

I've been experiencing a really strange problem while playing any of my games recently.
After playing a game for a short while, both my mouse and keyboard go into this short sort of lockup.
My games will still be playing perfectly, but I will suddenly lose control of my actions for about 5 seconds or so (not graphics/internet lag).
I'm using a wired, not wireless, keyboard + mouse and this is really starting to mess me up!

have you tried with a different keyboard and mouse. Also it maybe an issue with your mobo or PSU. Try it on another computer and see what happens

Used it on another computer and it worked just fine, so no hardware problems.
I really doubt my computer is underpowered, not a power problem.
Could be my motherboard, I'll experiment around with it...
