I was wonder how does the dead ringer work? its the only one i can't figure out! so if you could help would be apriciated!

see you in game! ~cammo:P

You have it out, and if you take dmg it lies down a fake ragdoll of you and you become invisible for a period of time and than it makes a loud noise. lol

^^ Yup, as soon as you take damage, you 'feign death,' Your rag doll hits the ground and the enemy assumes he killed you. When this happens, you automatically cloak and are invulnerable (kind of like an uber) for a short period.

You can't trigger the cloak like with the other watches, you have to take damage before the cloak works.

NOTE: When your cloak / invuln wears off, you will make a very audible and distinct noise that anyone nearby will hear. So be careful!

Someone plz correct me if I'm wrong.

The spy is unable to cloak at will, but in return, anytime he takes a non-fatal blow (and the dead ringer is fully charged), a fake corpse and death message (but from what I can tell, the person's kill count and HLStats will not change - so dead give away there unless it's been changed recently) will appear on screen, but the spy will become cloaked for a while (the time can be extended by picking up metal, just like the normal invisibility watch). But when you uncloak, you make this really loud, obnoxious sound (it's not quite a ring...) that alerts the other team of your presence (but obviously not your position).
Also it blocks 90% of the damage you initially take upon activation, so if your dead ringer is fully charged, you can survive all sorts of crazy things like a headshot, a (formerly) fatal fall, back stabs and crit stickies (also not sure if it gives 90% protection anymore, but I know it does give some protection). Oh not to mention it extinguishes you upon activation if you're on fire. For more stuff just go to the TF2 wiki -> http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Dead_Ringer.

I posted this before, with the Dead Ringer you can recharge it with metal found on the battle field. How is this useful to you...well, if you catch fire and use the DR you turn off fire right, but now pyros are chasing you and usually catch you on fire again. So what I do is uncloak as fast as i can and look for fallen weapons or metal boxes lying around and recharge the DR and use it again. Most pyros stop chasing you after you use the DR a second time thinking you fiegned your death once and cant use it again that fast. So use the metal crates and fallen weapons as med packs.

Oh yea funny story about the dead ringer.
I was playing on Turbine and an enemy spy jumps from his balcony onto the lower level, takes fall damage, and activates his dead ringer after "falling to a clumsy and painful death" (his head gets batted in about 2 seconds later by a giddy scout). Best use of dead ringer - ever.

I saw this in that TF2 logic thing that Echelon Three posted.
"The Dead Ringer does just that, you uncloak, it rings, you're dead."
Other than that, listen to these guys, try it out and practice it, and see if you like it.

You don't take any damage while the normal cloak bar runs out, then if you pick up any ammo and stay in the cloak you will be able to take damage.

Actually, the DR makes you take 10% damage from the feign death to your uncloak. You won't be invincible, but you will essentially have 1250 health (assuming you weren't hit before).

DR's damage protection also nullifies all fire damage.

Also, dispensors regenrate the dead ringer now too!

The dead ringer cloaks you when you take in damage, but you have to be holding it. Also it reduces the damage you take in. Just take it out when you think you are going to get shot at and it cloaks you and makes a dead body of you when you cloak, but uncloak far away it makes a loud noise.
