DOD:s lag.

hey guys.

i've have beeing playing dod for a while and is run great.


but after i change my new hard drive and to vista home premium 32 bit. its lagging some times in dod.

my system is..

3.0 ghz
1.5 GB ram.
and my old Nvidia FX 5500 256 MB.

its only lag when peoples are shooting but only sometimes its happend. i can play like 5 hours all clear and bang it starting to lagging.
my answer is this are my old video card there make it like lagging.
its not my ping my internet are great

Most likely your Video card. To reduce video lag, Turn down your graphic quality.

Alternatively, You could, Right click DOD:S > Properties > Set Launch Options.

Then, input this: -dxlevel 90. If that doesn't work still, Try -dxlevel 81 and -dxlevel 80

These will set the DirectX level to, 8, 9, or 9.1 I believe.

They also decrease visuals, but increase performance.

I run TF2 with -dxlevel 81 and it runs great. Still looks fairly good too.
