i recently picked up a great game (fallout 3) that i really enjoyed. but, having never purchased a mmo for pc, i want to start to try the mmo genera. ive played the World of warcraft trial, and liked it, but can never get over the fact im paying monthly. being younger than 18 years old, i don't know if i can come up with the cash each month. ive looked at guild wars but there's something that's not dragging me in to play it. if you can recommend a game like wow but with preferably no monthly payments and a large community, please feel free to post it on this thread. and BTW no space games (EVE)
looking for a new game.

EVE!!!! (As long as you're not a stupid carebear)
Failing that, Battlefield 2142 is a fun, buggy game.

The bugs are pretty do-able. I love the game.
