VHS Days?

still got a bunch of them mostly becuase some of my fav movies aren't on dvd

ahh vhs... for too long i held my finger down on that accursed rewind button :P, the good ole days. I remember the first movie my parents bought in VHS was star wars and boy, that got me hooked right thar

Heck yea, i have the star wars trilogy (episodes 4-6) on vhs, they didnt make 1-3 back then.

Also remember those kewl rewinders that they sold at your local movie rental store

Thank god for auto-tracking, I remember having to do the tracking on your own, getting all the fuzzy lines out of the screen, heh.

I also remember using a cassette tape to record songs off the radio, and make mix tapes!

Yeah I remember, and the wife still refuses to get rid of all the old VHS tapes. So now I have VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray. God I hope there isn't another format anytime soon, I'm running out of room to store more crap. :(

I work at a video store right now and about 6 months ago we got the order to dispose of all of our VHS tapes. While our video guy did have alot of fun getting to smash through more VHS tapes then many people have ever seen, I often wonder if this is the inevitable future of normal DVD vs. Blu ray. We have a wall of blu ray about 30yds long and it grows about ten feet every several months so several of us have been wondering when the whole wall will turn blu.

I still have my VCR. Watched "Scarface" on it the other night also. I can't believe how we lived with VCR quality that long.
