Why do Medics hate me?

If you answered no to all the question then skip to question 2. If you had 1 of more yeses, then you are probably on my "healing ban list" and you might as well switch teams since I will not heal you.

Yes I have a ban list, if you get me mad at you, I will not heal you, I have other people to heal.

I just came from the Lazytown server and there was on choke point I was healing at and somehow my guys continuously let a pyro in who would proceed to lite us all on fire. Then my someone on my team always took the med pack in that area even though I was on fire and about to die. I asked them to stop and they did not. So guess what? I left and went healing somewhere else.

Yep, medics are not guardian angels. We're players too, and if you keep doing stupid things that get us killed, we'll go play where it won't happen.

Or go combat medic and laugh at all the "MEDIC!" spamming :laugh:
 
I'm on Badlands last night and this e comes out of spawn spamming medic! So I buff him as I'm heading that way any way and if your medigun isn't cranked up you're wasting it. He keeps spamming medic!. I'm healing him and he's calling for medic! Do I hear thanks? No.

There are plenty of people who are grateful for a medic's kind attention. I don't need the distraction. The guys that are in the red sure don't need the distraction.

Think of the team once in a while. This dance spammers do between the w and e key is just prevents me from doing my best job for the team.
 
I really don't run into trouble getting medics to heal me, unless it's one of the medics that only heal the heavy.

Whenever I just start getting healed, I immediately hit the 'Thanks' command. As far as the spamming, I only do it to get my personal Medic's attention so he knows where I am and where to go.

Politeness promotes healing.

If you have a personal medic I suggest you get a personal microphone. Keep your mic comments short and to the point.

When you use a mic an exclamation point appears above your head. Wonder of wonders, no enemy spy ever has an exclamation point. Anti-Spy checking without wasting ammo. A quick tap on the mic key is all it takes. No need to spam. So cool it rules!
 
I rarely ask for medics to heal me, unless lol im hurt, but yeah i dont spam medic or anything :)

We can't forget the pyro that lets you just burn, instead of just using his air blast to put out the medic that is on fire. :cursing:

Odd this is most snipers are more than happy to use the jarate to put out a burning teammate, but a majority of pyro's fooget about it.

For probably the first month I owned TF2, I was a medic. Got quite a few invites from people because I could actually do my job. There are some though that if they could just stand there and medic themselves, they would do it.
 
priority list for me as medic:

1. Coupon Queen, while we're doing our heavy medic in sewers.
2. people on fire.
3. Red bubble
4.white bubble
5. everyone else
6. people that want over heal

quickest way to get on my banlist is steal the med pack then ask for medic. second way is be a scout/anyone else (reason i say scout they usually do it the most) and run up to my face and scream for medic.
 
I medic on gpit a lot so hit me up there if you want to play with a good medic. As long as I have a soldier or other heavy type class that can protect me I will distribute the heals evenly and move with my primary target. Also I can be a good pocket soldier if you medics need some protection. See you in the pit.

I wish I got all the medics. Having 2 medics healing me at once is well, a lucky day. However, Cliff is known to have multiple medics heal him at once. Hehe.

P.S. When I spam medic and I am in actual danger, or request assistance on the microphone, such as burning to death whilst <20 health, and I am right behind them. And there was no one else around to be healed, no enemies coming, and yet I still don't get healed.

That's the kind of medic is the one that believes ubering Pyros and Heavies is better than ubering anything else. I hate medics like that.

That's the problem there, you were hiding behind the medic. Meat-shields are supposed to die gloriously in front of medics. If you explode into a sufficient number of parts, then you'll have earned a heal for the next time you're in need.

You think these heals are free or something? The medigun costs over $400,000 to fire for 12 seconds*. You should at least die in an amusing way to repay us for that kind of money.



*seeing as how the minigun costs $400,000 per 12 seconds, it's logical to assume the medigun costs more as it's always cheaper to kill something than heal it.
 
Ok I am always a medic, or atleast 98% of the time[other then when Maj.Emish and I are heavy med :D]. I try to heal everyone that needs a heal around me when they need that heal. Sometimes, however, there are times when I will not heal you. If I am on someone, giving off an ubercharge (usually Kritz because that is what I've used alot lately) do not spam 'Medic', because I won't heal you. But yes, I'll agree that there are some medics who just stay on that one heavy over-healing him. I understand your frustrations. My only suggestion is ask in a friendly, nice way to heal others who are calling for a medic if the person they are currently healing is fine. But yeh, give us a break sometimes, theres always alot of injured people around us. It is a bit of a workout :P
