California get together

I've been reading a lot of threads about getting together/lan parties, and they've never really gone anywhere. so i though I'd bring it up again. i live in Thousand Oaks, which is about an hour and a half northish of L.A. i was thinking of putting together a little get together and maybe even a lan party (which i dont even know how to set up ). If we can get enough people together, we could probably do something around L.A.

If you would like to help or have experience with setting up these parties/lan parties, i would love some tips

LA is to far north for me. If ever there was a get together closer to San Diego, I would attend for sure.

well, so far it looks like most people would do it if it were held in or near San Diego. so ill look into some places near San Diego. i dont mind driving down there.

their is alot of people who live near LA.... JohnT, GardenGrove, Frank booth, Wintermute, Sli time, myself.... (these are some of the people that have showed up to the BBQ's at John's house, more people have shown up but i cant remember) more than happy to drive wherever for a meet... i live 91016 zipcode. 15-25min north of LA..
