DoD:S Customizing Question

Is there anyone here that has had experience making a custom sound in DoD:S? I would like to make the victory music for when Allies win Blood Upon the Risers (Gory Gory What A Hell of A Way to Die). If someone could help me out on figuring how to do this, could work on it with me, or wants to make it on their own and put it on FPS Banana that would be awsome! :thumbup:

sure it really easy go to this directory which is inside your steam folder "\steamapps\youraccountname\day of defeat source\dod\sound\ambient" than put the song you want for the victory music in as a mp3 and rename it to "us_win.mp3" or "german_win.mp3"

the game just plays the full file length

so you would need to use an audio editor

audacity is simple and free and will suit your needs.

Well, i cut out the section that i want to use, and DLed the program that i need to make it an MP3, but it still wont convert to MP3. Would it work as just a .wav file?

Nope, it has to be a .mp3.
.wavs are used for other things in DoD:S

Beastie I am starting to get really freaked out, not only did we have a lot of the same skins, but I also wanted the allied win song to be Blood Upon the Risers :O That is amazing! If you can make one could you give it to me? I had Blood Upon the risers but its the Redone newer one, not the classic one.

ah i havent used aduactiy in a long time so just et me get it and find the right oprtion for ya

k you got to install the mp3 encoder which in on audacitys site and when your done with the file your editing go to "File>Export" and choose mp3 in the file type in the save diolog there.

before you get to the save diolog it will have a tagging window this dosnt matter becuase dod:s olny looks at the file name

Edit: I got it working now, ill send it to ya some how McMeow. If u have xfire its pretty easy to send files through that. My xfire account name is at the bottom of my sig.
