Missing Map Problem

Recently (within the past 2 days) my computer has not been letting me download any map whatsoever from any server. It always comes up with the missing maps error box. I have checked things such as if i have different or partially downloaded versions of the maps in my cstrike/map folder but there is nothing, any idea what i can do to fix it?

if its not letting you download the maps, my suggestion would be to find that map online somewhere and physically download it yourself. Unless there is any other solution from someone else that will let it work normally. But thats all i know about haha

there is a cl_downloadfilter command you can set I have mine set to

cl_downloadfilter "nosounds"

So it doesn't download sounds admins put on the servers, but make sure the servers you connect to allow you to download the map.

Try downloading the maps online you can find most of the maps here : www.fpsbanana.com I download a lot of maps from here I hope this helps.

i've had this problem before. it required either deleting the local cache, or reinstalling the game.
