Diagnostic Programs?

I'm looking for some safe, reliable and free programs to stress test my CPU and RAM and check for any kind of hardware errors. Any suggestions?

I'm just using it to check overall hardware stability. It's running right now on a different machine.

Orthos or Prime95 are great stress tests. Both programs can do CPU only or a blend of CPU and RAM. Check in the task manager to see if it's using 100% of your RAM. If it isn't, you can run multiple instances of each to really watch it burn.

Do that, and you'll get a pretty good idea if it's solid or not. Run it for 12+ hours for best results. If you overclock the memory, I'd also run Memtest a few times. If you have any questions, I'm usually available through Steam Chat

I would recommend either Orthos or Prime95.

Keep in mind though that your computer will never come near the levels of stress shown when running these programs vs even the most demanding computing.
