Welcome to the Tech Help Forum
I like to hang around in the tech help forums, so I have a few suggestions/comments to make to hopefully improve this section of the eGO webpage.
Remember, this forum is for people who need help with a problem. Opinions of what computer to buy are best suited for the Tech Talk forum.
For the person needing help
Have a relevant title.
Good: ?CS:S crashes when Cryptex joins the game I?m in.?
Bad: ?OMGOMG HELP ME PLEEEAAAAAAAASEEEE!!!!?

Get to the point and avoid the wall of text.
Having to read a huge wall of text to try and find a problem can be challenging sometimes, so if you can cut it down the people helping you will have a much easier time. This isn?t to say that you shouldn?t give background information (background info is super useful).
Avoiding the wall of text can be simply done by using the return key to separate sections like the problem, what you?ve tried, your computer specs, etc. This makes reading a lot easier for the helpers.

Be sure to include?
- The problem you are having
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have tried
- Any extra info that might be useful
- Your computer specs (See here)
Take advice at your own risk.
If a suggested fix to your problem turns out to do more harm than good, please do not hold the person who suggested it liable. People here are trying to help you as best they can without actually being there and sometimes they make mistakes. If you mess up your computer more it's not their fault, they were just trying to help.
For the people helping
Only answer if you are knowledgeable in the area.
If someone has a problem, you don?t have to reply if you don?t know what is wrong. Saying ?I don?t know, sucks to be you!? just makes it harder for the person with the problem to find an answer. You can go and pad your post count somewhere else.
Also, if you have no idea and you make something up, that won?t help the person at all. Chances are that someone who visits the forums will have an idea about what is going wrong and be able to help the person.

Don?t repeat the same information.
If a person is looking for help seeing ?That?s a video card problem,? for two pages isn?t going to be super helpful. However, if someone was taking hypotheses at what the problem/solution might be, giving a more definite answer would most likely be appreciated by the person in need of assistance. This is different then repeating the same thing, it?s solidifying it.
If I missed anything feel free to add. Also, if I screwed anything up, feel free to tell me.
Hope this is useful?
