A couple of Pyro tips from HueyLewis. And me. :D (And/or Q&A.)

Shotgun > Flaregun in Pyro vs Pyro Flaregun > Shotgun in scrims/competive play Flaregun > Shotgun because it has range and the new minicrits = win

I've out-pyro'd probably 50 pyros today. Lost twice. It's not hard. Circle and retreat. Flares do quite a bit of damage anyway, so you have a range weapon.

Why exactly do all these pyros use the normal axe in there videos and not the axetingusher?

There's a reason why no decent competitive team uses a pyro, everything I would say has been said thousands of times.

I don't really need to say why do I?

Some people view normal axes as more useful/powerful than axetinguishers. I think the main point of view is if you're close enough to melee someone, you should just use the flamethrower to finish someone off. Or melee for the lulz. I used to use the axetinguisher but I'm hooked on the regular axe. Axe axe axe. I'm tired.

As far as I'm concerned, Puff and Sting is quite possibly the lulziest way to kill someone. Especially when all talk is on. <3

Well if you think of it as a pyro you usuallly do a lot of damage. Which means higher crit chances then you have a axe that crits and acctually can be used verse pyros = P. Also the axe could be used it more of prefrence to most people.
