Hey guys!

I'm trying to put together a map with all the names we use for the buildings in dod_flash to use as a spray to guide our fellow players, but it seems I'm missing some names or some buildings and/or locations have no fixed names yet, care to help me out?

Edit: See below post.

Strategic Map Collection

Here's some advice we can all use. Read the stickies!

Oh wow, thank you that's going to help!

Edit: I'm only missing a name for this building, does it even have a name? If not what should we name it?

Interesting point there Bar, that spot is very plain.. I wouldn't know what to name it.
If I get an idea, I'll post a suggestion.

Keep in mind that your sprays are limited to 256 x 256 pixels. It may be hard to read. Maybe you can ask the mappers to put up some billboards in spawn. Seems to me they put a beverage machine in for a while. :w00t:

Yeah I know, I'm going to take that into consideration and adjust the text hopefully so it can be read without too much trouble.

ummm I guess I would call that axis field facing sniper house... no idea :P....

Also....

Hole in Wall is also known as Broken Window.

Bar is also known as allied Bread house

I don't recall that you can enter it so I don't think anyone has bothered to name it. That whole area is just considered spawn because it's behind the last flag and no one cares. Still, it's been a while since I was on flash so you guys may have named it by now. Same story with the one behind the ruins on the allied side.

It can be entered, it's the small house that you enter from the right side that has 2 windows looking directly at the axis arch, MGs often setup there, that's why I thought it'd be useful to name it.

44 Magnum, you're still using the EdgeGamers logo in your signature that I had made for the new forums, cool!

How about the "Flag House" since it's right next to the flag?

EDIT: For some reason, the in-game spray looks fine and is readable for the most part, but some text is so badly smudged that it is illegible, I'm gonna try to see what I can do...

Flag house is fine but I doubt any of us will remember to use that
We must make it popular NAO!!!

if you're going to be naming that house you also need to name the buildings next to allies ruins as well. One would be the same as the "Flag House" for the axis but the other one also faces down as well. The only hard thing now is implementing the names in actual game play :P

I reworked the name placements a little bit.

You're talking about these houses? They have little tactical influence since they are way behind the flags, I don't see the use of naming them but it wouldn't hurt, something like "Allies Spawn House", "Axis Spawn House"?

the bar is a tough one. ive heard it called the bar, the kitchen, and the bread house. and its tough because there is also the hotel kitchen. and anyone who calles the hole in the wall anything else is just a crazy person! lol

the question mark building i just call the coupier building. since it says coupier in huge letters on the side lol

oops. the coupier building is on the axis side. thought that was the question mark one since you posted a picture. my bad.

The house that is part of allied spawn, its the bottom one, it has two large windows that MGs SHOULD set up in when the allies are down to their last flag, you're able to watch both Entrence to field, and the Ruins, Its like the back porch on the Axis Side.
