Which game do you like more and why?

I personally like the Rock Bands more because in Rock Band 2 you can add all the songs from RB1 in so you have both full set lists plus whatever you've downloaded. Also RB seems to have a bigger selection of songs to download.

Don't get me wrong though I have all the GH games (except Aerosmith) but I don't like them as much because for me it's harder to tell what the hammer on's and pull offs are.

Guitar hero because u can actually make your own retarded songs ;P

I prefer Rock Band, also they are coming out with the ability to make your own songs. But it is not like ghtunes. It is an actually song creation program which you have to buy. Also you have to pay a subscription to use the service.

I tend to favor the original...so Guitar hero gets my vote :) That and I've never played Rock Band :P

I don't really care, the only difference is the songs, and even those are pretty similar. I have a friend who has the latest Guitar hero and a friend with the latest Rock band, so I play either one depending on where I'm hanging out :P

I pick Guitar Hero. Just because the drums seem a lot more...Realistic. I've played both, By the way. I prefer the GH drums.

I prefer Guitar Hero more. The guitar work can't be beat by RB, RB's guitar felt so bad I really didn't want to play it much, also the sterocaster (or whatever came with RB1) was TERRIBLE talk about a broken controller and you have it. RB's drum kit was OK, I personally like World Tour's more but it has more issues (orange cymbal going off for no reason ?). I also prefer hitting circle than a rectangle because I've been hitting circles a lot longer and switch over felt wrong.

RB does have a better song selection IMO but WT has tool so I really don't care.

why would you wanna pay for a creation of your own music program for a video game? personally i think that is stupid just to pay for something YOU are creating.. which you've already bought the game and why pay again??

I personally pick Guitar Hero, because it's simple to get the hang of, and Guitar Hero introduced me to Guns N' Roses, and other Classic Rock bands.

Definitely Rock Band (More DLC, Better MP, etc.) Don't get me wrong, GH is also a amazing game which got my started but RB takes the cake.

I only play guitar hero not because its the first game but the drums and songs are better than rb2 and the next GH will introduce better MP.

I agree, but it is mostly for bands who want to get there music out there.

even though I like Rock Band better I still use my guitar for guitar hero 2. I don't like the guitar from either RB but I like RB the game alot better than GH.

Rock band, 'nuff said.

But I'll elaborate.

I like the equipment better. The GHWT drums are awkward to play on. the pads are too close together and the middle pad needs to be up higher. WAY higher. (higher as in further away form the body) As a real drum player, it does not feel natural, nor is it efficient to tuck your arm in to hit the toms.

As for the GH guitar, I've never liked it. The body is too small and the neck is too thick. The buttons stick it making it difficult to slide your fingers down a set of buttons. Plus they are really spaced out, so stretching your pinky that extra distance is difficult. The new GH guitar does have a larger body, and a longer neck. It doesn't feel any thinner though. The buttons are still spaced out too far, but they do not stick out as much. The start and back buttons are in very awkward places though. The slidy thing doesn't get much use from me, except for on held notes. It's still fun though.

The RB guitar has flat buttons which are separated by a small "fret." An additional set of buttons are located near the body of the guitar which is great for kids. The switch which is used to control the echo on the RB guitar is a fun feature, but like the slidy bar on GHWT, it doesn't get much use.

The RB drums are favored in my opinion. Both games allow you to add stuff on like double basses (pfft) or hi-hat pedals (yeah!) or even additional cymbals.

I won't say anything about the mics or the basses. the RB Mic I has worked fine for 2 years now. It's sturdy and you can sing into it. Unless you can't sing, like me. Even on easy. =p The basses I don't own.
