Gettin a PS3.

Call of duty4 i really dont like 5 but its cool...
GTA4 is fun
Little Big Planet is really fun to.....(play it alot.)

Oh I understand completely. It's just as a former employee of GameStop people have had me call Sony and the times I called they were nicer than Microsoft. Maybe it was just the day.
 
I owned and PS3 and recently got rid of it cuz I'm more of a PC gamer than a console gamer.

It's an amazing system! The things you can do with it just puts me in awe. You'll see all that when you get it.

A note about the free multiplayer, it may not be free for long. There is a little tiny game comming out that you may of heard of, MAG. It will consist of 256 player battles. Once that hit, in November, PS3 has been talking about it being a monthly subscription from there on in. Just to cover the costs of keeping servers lag-free as possible.

My game suggestions: (that I've played)
COD: MC and WaW (great games, if you don't already own em on pc)
Bioshock (again if you dont own it for pc, a definately must buy)
Little Big Planet (addictive game, high replay value)
MGS4 (if you liked the previous 3, this will rock your socks)
Afro Samurai (you'll recognize a voice in there, fun game)
InFamous (bzzt...nuff said)
There are more but these are some that I can remember. Rent a lot and find what you enjoy yourself.

Games that are coming out soon:
MAG (the reason I bought ps3 originally, just got sick of waiting)
CoD: MC2
There are soo many more amazing games to come, most developers finally got used to the system dynamics are in the process of making some real use of the ps3 capabilities.

Keep in mind, if you have internet hooked up to the ps3, download some of their demos, they have a ton of them. Plus if you like it you can just download the full game for cheaper than the stores.

Ya, I'm pretty much a PC gamer but my pc is pretty new (not even a year old) and I already cant play some of the new games. I need a new cooling system, graphics card and more and I dont have that kind of cash, hell I've been saving for this PS3 for about 5 months...but ya MAG looks amazing! They're using the same kind of servers Google uses. But if it comes to that...it'll still be free for awhile :P
 
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Best game ever. Although my PS3 wont read disks anymore. I'm sad.
 
MGS4 is the only game that really made me want to buy a ps3.. everything else is on xbox360, Almost everyone uses xbox360 that i know since it's cheaper to buy, has way more 3rd party titles, and way more xbox exclusive only titles.

Basically i got a ps3 to play blu-rays and to play 1 game mgs4...

My disc reader broke just before the 1 year warranty expired. Hardware failure for PS3s is pretty low (maybe somewhere between 1%-5%, and that's being real generous), considering the 360's initial failure rate was somewhere near 30% (no idea what it's at now, but I know its lower).

It's a pretty solid system overall. If you've got your proof of purchase, you'll be just fine.

Most of those arent out yet im just coming across the point of i recommend you should wait for the EPIC WIN games to come in like half life: episode 3 EVERYONE wants to play that you know you would be the bada** down the street with a ps3 haha hope that helped

Call of Duty : World At War for PS3. It's awesome. Download all the map packs, and you'll be a happy puppy :P
 
ehhh world at war is okay not great.....MW2 will be amazing though.

Well you HAVE to get Metal Gear solid 4, it is so good

then there is Killzone 2 (probably one of the hardest console fps, in multiplayer that is, has almost no autoaim like the rest of them do), Resistance 2 is pretty fun though its kinda arcade, Little Big Planet is pretty fun though i got tired of it after a while.
 
Yeah the PS3 is amazing only have COD Modern Warfare. The rest is just Blue-rays. Other then that im looking forward getting uncharted 2. Looks amazing!!
