Suggestions on new case.

I'm buying myself a new case 'cos my Antec Nine Hundred just won't do when it comes to Crossfire.

My 2nd 4870 card blocks the fan for my PSU, therefor making the temp go sky high!
Even with all fans on max.

So I've planned buying myself this one:

Any other suggestion to cases that works well with water-cooling kits?
Or cases thats simply so awesome, you don't need water-cooling.

Also, if anyone know of water-cooling kits that works on both CPU and GPU, it would be great if you would let me know!
(Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new to all this water-cooling stuff..)

I also have an Antec Nine Hundred but I want to wait for the Corsair Obsidian 800D. It looks so cool and it very practical.
 
My buddie has the HAF and its really cool nice case all around and LED's are red so its really cool.
 
You won't go wrong with that case right there. The Antec 900 or 1200 are also very very nice cases.
 
If you like the very simplistic cases, you could go with a Silverstone or Lian Li. They're also very nice.
 
I actually just recently bought the HAF 932. It is amazing and has all the room in the world. Will easily fit crossfire 4870x2 or two GTX 295. Probably even quadfire. The cooling on it is also one of the best, better than almost all of the more expensive cases. The only case that i would think of getting over this is the Cooler Master Stacker which allows for 4 fans on the side panel bracket which is really cool from what i've seen. Go for the HAF 932, best airflow you can get pretty much.

Im no expert on water cooling but i think you just need a radiator and pump and usually when you buy those they come standard in cooling the cpu. Then you need to buy some GPU water cooling bricks which are expensive, you have to get the one specially made for you graphics card which are usually upwards of over 100 bucks for each one. You might as well just get a whole new graphics card in my opinion. If you want cooling for GPU i would recommend an aftermarket fan, they work very well especially quality made ones. You should read some reviews though and the degrees drop. Water cooling for CPU is decent but also not needed really, i have a OCZ Vendetta 2 on my Q6600 which run very hot and im overclocking it to 3.7 from 2.4 and running max like 60 degrees which is well within the range. I have a thermaltake DuOrb on my ATI 4850 but i got a bad card and it doesnt overclock well, sucks :(

To be completely honest with you, I hate the design of Lian Li cases. : p

Thanks for the info! I still havent found a norwegian site where i can buy a cooling brick for gpu water-cooling.
Even a radiator and pump is hard to find on the largest and most popular site.

The 1200 looks good. I did take a look at the 900 v2, but it wasn't quite what i expected.
Overall I'm starting to get tired of the Antec 900/1200 cases.

It looks like the exact same case when looking at the way the fans are positioned. It's just got a more clean design. Will have a look to see if it got lower temps on tests than the HAF.

Before you buy the HAF, I recommend you see it in person. When it first came out I loved how it looked. I saw it in Fry's one day and now I'm kind of turned off.

If you want a case that has plenty of room inside, and will be crazy silent, take a look at the Cooler Master Cosmos series. The Cosmos 1000 is dead sexy, and it has really good build quality.

HAF 932 is one of the best case. CM Scout and CM Sniper are also a good case!

But i like the HAF 932 better.
 
Yes the HAF 932 is really an opinion case on how it looks. Some people like it some people dont. I do not believe though that you need to go instore to see how it looks, it really does look the same online as it does in person. You may wish though that there were more LED lights on the inside instead of front fan and the power light (blue light) is very very bright, it will light your room up alone. I have a blue led GPU aftermarket cooler so i dont really need the extra LED inside but other than that, best airflow on the market.

I dont really like the Cosmos 1000, very little airflow but i do also recommend the Cosmos S but i dont believe the airflow compares to the HAF 932 though the quality should be abit higher considering the price tag. The case i really love is the Cooler Master Stacker, that thing is a beasttttt.

If i am going to pay that much money for a case i would get this case, then buy the additional 4 fans you can put on the side fan bracket which is very very neat, i also believe you can remove some of the front bays to install another fan but im not sure.

I like the Thermaltake Armor series. I have a 1st gen 8000BWS case and it provides sufficient exhaust and cooling for my Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz and both ATI 4870s. The cases also has ports in rear for water cooling.

the armor plus is what i have for my secondary machine. Its a nice rig, the only problem I had with it was that it was impossible to move it. There are no plausible handles on it, and the spots where you think handles would or should be, there is plenty of flimsy plastic that does nothing but make the case xtra bulky.

I never understood why Tt added all that plastic to the next gen (6000 series) cases either. Maybe for looks... :confused:

But if you ever need an extra boat anchor you are in luck ;)
