Air soft is boring to me because you cant feel anything if you get shot ..
no marks if you get shot so how do you know if you hit the guy?
To me its boring..But thats my opinion

for me Paintball because its more intense and it gets your heart pumping more but i mean airsoft is fun too me and friends used to play in backyards and around town

For me, paintball is way more intense. The guns aren't made out of plastic, the projectiles it fires aren't either, and the people play pretty hardcore. Airsoft is cool for just like playing around with friends, you dont really have to organize anything so you just find a place and play. But id much rather be playing a game of paintball.

Lol, then you haven't been shot by the high end airsoft guns. They've got those 600+FPS guns, and I'm sure they'll hurt. And not all airsoft guns are made of plastic. A friend of mine spent around $2000-3000 on his MP5. It's about the same weight as an actual MP5. He was training for the military lol. But yeah, shoots 80BBs per sec, and does not even begin to drop until about 200m away. If he uses the plastic BBs, they'll shatter on your glasses, which is why he uses the heavier graphite ones.

But don't get me wrong, paintball is really fun too.

Paintball. more specifically, woodsball. But that's the reason for my choice. I've been playing paintball on and off for 10 years, and the community has become huge. We have scenario, woodsball and speedball. We have the NPPL, SPPL, XPL, etc. Airsoft doensn't have the same community. More leagues exist in paintball which is a double-bladed sword, but that's for another discussion.

The two things I hated about paintballing is that 1) It is pretty much all about how many bullets you can waste in a second. 2) The people there are jerks. Everywhere I went to paintballing, 75-90% of the people there were the typical 22-28 year olds with tatoos, smoking a cigarette. I was hoping that perhaps they dont act like jerks on the field, but i was wrong. Airsoft on the other hand is 75-90% happy and helpful people.

That's true. Usually. I guess it depends on where you play also.

I play on a SPPL sanctioned field. The people there are typically friendly. Most paintball places are centered around "family fun." It sounds like you played speedball manicx. Woodsball is a VERY tactical, and I don't know what you mean by "realistic." Do you mean mil-sim? Getting hit by a paintball is very real. I don't see how that could be unrealistic.

Airsoft... I guess it just suits my personality better, it's more of a "messing around with friends" than "organized sport" thing and even when using fancy guns it just keeps that nice spirit.

Airsoft, its cheaper and I have a lot more fun. Less hiding and more running
