Here is the trailer for Halo Legends. For those who do not know Halo Legends is a new Halo Anime series coming out this fall.

"The BONES, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio 4?C, and Toei Animation anime studios are animating Halo Legends, a DVD anthology of seven short films based on Microsoft Studios' Halo game franchise. Microsoft's creative staff is approving the visuals and storytelling. Three of the creative directors are Frank O'Connor of Microsoft's 343 Industries, Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed), and Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell, The Sky Crawlers). J-Spec Pictures' Joseph Chou (Appleseed) is producing.

Aramaki's short will cover the history of the Spartan warrior class from the games. Studio 4?C will animate two 30-minute shorts about "the entire 100,000 year history of the Halo universe." Toei's short "is outside of the official canon and pokes fun at some of the game's characters."

Warner Brothers will release the anthology on DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and digital distribution in early 2010. A trailer is planned for the Halo panel at San Diego's Comic-Con International (CCI) on Thursday, and Xbox 360 users can see a preview this fall on the Xbox Live service. Aramaki, Production I.G president Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, and Studio 4?C president Eiko Tanaka will attend the CCI panel, and the panelists will sign autographs after the panel at the Warner Brothers booth. The first trailer will also premiere on television on the Spike TV channel's GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley."

Still I'm looking forward to this, even though I'm not a die hard Halo fan. This series could add some nice back story to the game without you having to read the books and being familiar with these studios and directors I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of this series!

Ugh. Halo 1-3 = Good Games.

But this needs to STAWP.

The series is OVER.

GIVE IT UP.

It was good, but NOT THAT EPIC.

To late. There is to much money to be had with this franchise for it to die now. It's kind of like the Terminator series. Yeah...I really wish that died after 2.

Anyway I'm rather looking forward to this series. I've read the first three novels and whether you like it or not; there is are plenty of narrative arcs that can be mined from the Halo universe.

i cant wait to see Halo Legends!

(you can say that im a Halo fan... ._. *gets shot*)

My brain rejects this.

I mean, I like anime and I like Halo, but I also like Ice cream and I also like steak, but you don't see me putting those 2 things together, now do you?

I'm going to repress my feelings about this, but if you see an article 30-40 years down the road of some guy named Joe Landry blowing away his office with an AK-47, blame this anime. :D

THERE ARE NO CHARACTERS TO DEVELOP. Its a guy in a metal suit who never takes off his helmet or shows emotion, just a ruthless killer, not grounds for a good series, game wise it works cause no one really cares about the hero talking cause you play as the hero, but in a television show your going to want to see something out of the main character.

I'm guessing they're gonna get all the stories from the book, probably because there isn't any reason to just retell the games story in anime format.

You obviously haven't read any of the novels, which I'm sorry to hear, because they were well written and added so much depth and back story to how the Spartan's came to be.

I'm a hardcore Halo fan. Not so hardcore as to accept absolute garbage, but enough that I will reserve judgement until I see whether they're good or bad.

I have lost all faith in this part of humanity.... Hopefully "Building Construction" and "Fast Food Management" has more enlightened ways of thinking.
