Anyone using ubuntu?

My computer died like 3 days ago, and had to resort to Ubuntu. Im not gonna lie, its pretty complicated, and im having trouble getting TF2 to run. So im wondering if anyone uses ubuntu, and knows how to get TF2 to work on it, help is much appreciated :]

You will need some windows type emulator, i think wine is free, look it up, and that should get you going, it is a unix based system, so you will need to read up on configuring and compiling stuff on it....and after you do all that you'll have to figure out how to get your drivers working......

You are fighting an uphill battle. I would recomend just giving in and pre ordering windows 7 and getting a temp copy of vista for free

Its doable. I've done it just for the hell of it. Wine is the Free way to go. I'm not comfortable with helping someone else hack their way through it. Do a search for "TF2 and linux" in the forums, there is a thread made by "AutoDMC" that may be of help.
