Best bands that you're not listening to.

This is a sticky on another forum I frequent, and it has proven very helpful for me as a source of new music that I might not find anywhere else.

The idea of this thread is to post the name of band that you listen to, that isn't well known. Could be a hometown band, could be a small instrumental group... anything that flies under the radar basically. Or it could just be a band you really love, and by some off chance, no one else has heard of them.

I'm always looking to expand my musical library, so... please post the band name, type of music and homepage (optional, as we all know how to search) if they have one.

I'll start us off:

As you can see, my taste is quite varied. Maybe not as much as some, but still. Hopefully this turns out to be an awesome resource of new music for me and everyone else who posts.

Listening to both of them + Kyuss and QotSA


...and the only one out of LuxMortim that I'm listening to is Pixies...have pretty much their whole discography.
 
I'm going to say Breaking Benjamin because I don't know a lot of people who listen to this and all the people that I've personally introduced to this band have bought all their albums. They are really amazing.

these are all japanese bands i listen to which range from pop to alt. rock to goth rock to death metal but most of them jump between genres quite a bit
the easiest way to find them is to search on youtube for music videos
also when searching for a japanese music video you put the artist name then pv at the end
i.e.
alice nine pv


we butter the bread with butter- hardcore/electric (hard to describe)

danger radio- dont know what genre exactly but it makes me want to dance...ish

and then there were none- techno ish + alt.rock, kinda

How about Fu Manchu, Orange Goblins, Fatso Jetson?

Also, In a heavier vein:

Black Label Society - Pretty metal. Hangover Music Vol. IV is epic.
Pantera & Damageplan - Pretty much the same (RIP DBD)
Deftones - Grunge Metal
ZZ Top - Classic but ?berpwn
Manowar - Classic metal anthems

Me First and the Gimmie Gimmie's - by far my favorite cover band ever. members are from Swing'n Utters, NOFX, and Lagwagon. They cover Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond, John Denver, the Beetles, Johnny Cash, etc etc etc.

I've heard some Fu Manchu in the past and some ZZ Top also. I listed those other bands mostly because they all have Josh Homme in common.

I've heard of them. Im not nuts about them, But some of their songs are good.

Muse - British band/alt rock

I don't think that they are really popular in the U.S.
