Well i enjoy using all the expolsive devices that Insurgency has to offer. The RPG is a fun and easy weapon to use and it efectively slaughters the players on the other team. However, it is also very dangerous, if you miss your target or fire it incorrectly you could risk killing yourself or your team. The grenade is probably one of the most used explosive weapons in the game. Fun to use, very precise but when you pull the pin and forget to throw it, ya. The M203 is probably the least used and least fun of the 3. I do not enjoy using it and it requires a great deal of skill to use it effectively. Once in a while i try it out but i have never been able to master it. :cursing:

I like the M203 alot for awile that was the only weapon I used. I don't really like the RPG I have killed lots of my team memers with it:P
 
203 for 1 reason. Indirect fire. I can shoot you, and you can't shoot me. :)
 
M203 for me. It helps get insurgents behind sandbags. Pretty easy to use and your enemy won't see it coming because it doesn't give off a trail like the rpg does.
 
Hand grenade for life!
It's so sadisfying kill, when you lob a cooked nade over a wall and get five kills =)
 
I often use my hand grenades for supression. If you do not cook the grenade, and throw it where your enemy will see it, they will run and hide until it explodes. That gives you plenty of opportunity to move.
 
I prefer the M203 for the exact opposite reasons of kingback. I think the RPG is boring because it is too easy. You don't even have to use the iron sight for the majority of the shots. The hand grenade is fun especially because it bounces off walls. But the M203 is the best because it actually took time to learn and appreciate. It's harder to use than the RPG and fewer people use it for that reason, but in the hands of an accomplished grenadier its as annoying as the RPG. I only wish that it didn't have to take time and arm. If they removed that, it would be evenly balanced with the RPG I think.
 
RPG FTW! best thing about the RPG is you can be all the way on the other side of the map, aim and fire and still get like 5 kills.
 
RPG: and here's why.

The RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade), is a non-guided, shoulder launched, 40mm shaped charge. Normally, the warhead is not composed of high explosives, but of an inverted(to the direction of firing) copper cone, that, when activated, explodes outwards, forming a jet of molten copper that is able to penetrate up to 330 mm(12.9in) of steel plating. In the game, however, the RPG-7 fires the OG-7V warhead, a fragmentation variant, able to ventilate body armor anywhere within 7 meters of its detonation. Because of its conscript-proof Russian design, any untrained fool with initiative can use it. The M203 on the other hand, is finicky, unwieldy and hard to use. To effectively use this weapon requires a hefty amount of training, as opposed to the RPG's "point and shoot" ease of use. To sum up this long and useless argument, the RPG is easier to use, hits harder and is more accurate.
 
Even though I love the RPG I'm going to have to go with the M203, I've getting a lot better with it these days and am having a lot of fun with it too :) :biggrin:

I hate all but the 203! i think the 203 is 10 times better than an RPG, because that bomb comes with a rifle attached to it!

Its not hard to master the sights of the 203, the part that kills you most of the time is simple the freaking time it takes from switching to bullets to 203! which is insane!

Best way to learn the 203 sights is simply choose an area where you want to shoot , and remember that it will always be in an arc type of flight plan. So aim up!

Always use the horizon and line up the last bar then shoot! pay attention where it lands, and just increase each bar up to the same horizon as you practice more and more it will be 2nd nature where it will go.

OH and i forgot to add.. A GREAT MAP TO TEST THIS ON! IS KARAM!!!!! MARINES USING THE 203 WILL PWNE INS when trying to camp A or B.

Especilaly that you can reach the truck, bunkers, bridge and wall where people like to rpg and or snipe from easily!

Good for you pimp! I'm still pretty bad with the 203, so i tend to stay away from it...;)
