Someone from ur clan under the name of =(ego)= van something said hed let me join ego if he went to my profile added some1 and said hede give them a secret code so i trusted him and gave him my account info and he changed my name and my pass i made a new account added shazbaz and it said my name was random crap plz ban him

i suggest you contact matt the cat in the fourms and tell him about it, you can find his profile a lot in the recruit forums. if they find the one that did it the probably will call him into ventrillo and ask him, if he is guilty he might get banned for it, i think however there is very little chance of getting that old account back if he is found innocent.... ask matt the cat he'l know how to handle it buddy

On your steam chat " Never tell your password to anyone." it include giving them information about your email , screct code etcs.

Okay that guy isn't in ego. I searched van in members and no one showed up. You should of known that eGO is a community not a clan. There's no requirements besides age to join. The guy probably put on the ego tag and pretended to be an admin because I didn't find anyone that goes by the name of van.

Where is the proof to support any of what you've said?
It's also quite possible that if in fact what you say is true, the same eGO's account was also hacked or socially engineered out of them just like yours was.
Before you come waving the pseudo ban hammer, you've got to have some back up..

The only thing you can do is report it to the Steam People. And dont go to assumptions about our =(eGO)= ppl would ask for anyones steam name and password. That is the first thing that hackers would ask for. Never give your password to ANYONE!!! NOT EVEN THE STEAM PPL. All that you can do now is just make sure taht you dont do that again, and Report it to the Steam ppl

I don't know anyone with the name van and Rusty searched it and nobody came up,
so most likely it was an immpersinator who somehow knows eGO to know the eGO's are admins.
So ya report of to steam or something like that, and you might get your account back in like 1-3 days.

Yea,contacting steam is the best way...you need to make a screen of your CD-Keys and stuff. (That's what I heard of,never done this before.)

You should never give your PW to ANYONE, no matter any reason. When you create your PW, it logs it into a server database Not a single employee from Valve or whatever company knows it or will need to know it, Valve also has tons of backup server databases. If you want to change it, do not contact anyone besides the change your password link in your control panel. No Valve employee needs your password for any reason.
Pretty much do NOT listen to anyone even if it's eGO. You could never know someone could have changed their name and added =(eGO)= on it and look like a admin but really not. Never give your account info out.

I don't care if Bill Gates himself comes knocking at your door asking for your email password, DO NOT GIVE IT OUT. Passwords are for YOU and YOU ONLY.
Sometimes you may also get a message from someone with a link to a Steam login site. It may look 100% legit, but it isn't. Unless it is https://steamcommunity.com/ then it is fake. No questions asked.
You can try to Contact Steam, and I would, but you may have trouble with them.
