Although both use the same story line, wc3 is different than wow. wc3 is an online real time strategy similar to starcraft, red alert, aoe and the like. Plus it's one of your free to play games . All the good people ruined wc3 for me. They'd kill me either way to fast or they'd hero creep and have a hero that could kill my army off by itself.

Tower wars is the best wc3 maps out there. It does get redundant, but its still fun
