I recently bought Call of Duty: World at War for the PC but when I put in the disk my computer wont auto-run it (I have auto-run enabled) and when I go to Computer my disk drive wont recognize the game. And its not a scratched disk as I brought it back to the store to have it exchanged and its not the disk drive as I tried putting in another game and the installation for that popped up. Also the game is DVD and my drive plays DVD. The disk is spinning when I put it in the drive because I put the game in with all the words/logo facing me and when it ejected it had the words/logo facing the upper left of the disk drive. Can someone please help me?

you could try and put the letters faced down cause sometimes the companies misprint the cd's

LOL seriously though, it could be many things. Reinstall your drivers for your DVD-ROM drive. If that doesn't work, torrent the game and use the CD key that came with your box. You don't need the DVD to install the game.

I already tryed updating my drivers and im already downloading a torrent for the game, it just kinda seems messed up that i have to download an illegal copy even though ive got a legit copy sitting in-front of me

It's fine. I've done so many many times. Sometimes my online friends give me a CD key for a game and I just torrent it and I use the real key so it's like having the real game. I actually did something messed up to get my COD5 key. I got a COD4 key from my friend and torrented COD4 to use it and it turned out fine.

lol i even tried this...i dont think i need to say whether it worked or not

Considering this is what the World at War disc looks like, you can understand why I was surprised at the recommendation:
