I am starting to hate my laptop

Some of you may or may not have noticed (probably the latter) that I have not been on for 5 or six days...that is not by choice. My laptop wont run steam, any steam games or any games for that matter. I have been trying to fix it for a few days now, but with no results. I hope this finds the DL's and Advisor's not angry at me, but if not I apologize immensely. Hopefully I'll see you all soon.

Im using Vista 32 on a Dell Studio 15, it's what I've been using the whole time I've been in eGO. It's just started acting up.

hmm, have you tried uninstalling steam and deleting all the folders with steams stuff in them?

Good and bad news guys. Good news first, my laptop is now fixed and we be back playing on monday. Apparently there was a problem in the BIOS startup...I don't see how that could have affected it but oh well. Bad news is I leave for college in a week so between ROTC and schoolwork I dont know how often I will be able to play, . But I will be on as often as I can be.

I hate my dell laptop too. It may be an XPS M1530, but it's given me nothing but problems. It overheats like no other when running Steam games.

Mine too, so I got a Belkin laptop cooling fan. It's made my laptop run cooler longer when I watch videos or blast music for hours on end and it runs pretty quiet now too.

yea same for me. never buying a laptop for gaming again. if i buy a laptop, it will be a very small and portable laptop just for typing papers, music, and internet.
