I know that the patch was supposed to end abuse of taunt killing, but there is a way around the fix. The spy can taunt kill with the knife, and by taunting then cloaking almost instantly afterwards, you can still be cloaked while you taunt. Pardon the title of the video. Please note that this is the work of EvilDaedalus.

Said technique is demonstrated at 1:10. Is this allowed on eGO servers?

This is not final say, but..

I would call this an exploit and absolutely warn/kick/ban for using it.

We do not allow exploits on the servers and sentences with the phrase "a way to work around the fix" tend to lean toward that.

I'd strongly advise not doing this on any eGO server.

Looks like a exploit to me, a taunt kill you can't see coming and abusing the cloak mechanics to get it to work.
 
Definitely an exploit! Blooming hit the nail on the head, anything having to do with working around something usually ends up being a bad thing :P
 
Now I noticed in the video that he had taunted, then was attacked which triggered his dead ringer, now would you consider that part of the exploit as well then, because that could also happen unintentionally as well.
 
This was posted within a couple weeks of the spy update. It was a glitch. It has since been patched. You can't taunt kill while cloaked or disguised anymore.
 
you can still cloak and taunt if you hit the buttens at the same time, example:

mister spah has a cloak and dagger, and sees 2 people in the vents on turbine comeing towards his spawn, so mister spah hides around the next corner, and then cloaks and taunts at the same time, he WILL be cloaked, and the tauntkill will kill them if they bump into him at the right time, so mister spah gets a taunt kill, while cloaked

yes, it does work after the patch

No, it is still possible to do. I tried it (last week) after seeing this video, and it works.
