When you started using the other client and stopped using VMWare, did you make sure to enter your name and team number? It may be contributing anonymously.

I have completed 3 WUs today, each for 1920 points, but right now its only showing 1...Looks like it's updating to me.

Let's see if any of them show up for the next update in ~22 mins.
By the way, the EOC site updates every 3 hours, while the stanford tracker updates every two. Sometimes it can take several updates after you complete a work unit for it to show up.

WinXP 32, VM running 64.
My updates are working fine.. I need to find out how to get the 25k/wu upgrade thingy..
I've got VM running and a GPU, gonna add a second GPU when I get my new radeon crossfired, still need to buy it though lol

Stanford can't be hacked and used for malicious purposes... Just like the Government can't be hacked.

They could hack into Stanford's servers, but they couldn't access your computer through Stanford's servers. They would have to replace the folding@home download with their own modified client.
it's no more risky than turning your computer on while it's connected to the internet(regardless of how many firewalls you have).
if you don't want to contribute then that is fine. But if so, just leave the topic and let us do what we want to do our computers, which just happens to be attempting to save people's lives. You don't need to act like we are all stupid for putting ourselves at risk.
BTW, Steam could get hacked, so you might want to never login to that again.

That happened to me, open up VMWare, go to power, then power off and exit, instead of xing out.my vmware stopped working again >.>
it shows the normal screen (fold-#### etc) but no cpu activity for the past three days, so went back to normal client till i get time to fix, which will probably be tonight after work
tried many times to no avail :-(
edit: fixed. did what i usually have to do when this happens. delete the folder and start over from scratch
