Folding@eGO team, round 2! (If you don't know what folding is, please read)

I see a ton of users who just quit folding, points have been at a stand still for a while now. Wondering if they just got lazy or have moved to another team. Come on people, at least keep that GPU active while your asleep and get more than your moneys worth from it.
 
So its been a while, how is everyone doing ? I see a lot of members do a few work units and quit. Come on, help out everyone.
 
My old cooler quit, so I'm back to stock, so I can't really fold my 8 cores anymore.
 
I know this is an old thread, but lets get this train rolling again. There are still 40 CPU's active on the team, so lets see if we can't bump that number up some.

I myself am running one Folding@Home on each GPU (5850's in Crossfire) and one Folding@Home on my CPU of my server.
 
Agreed. Judging by the number of active CPUs and average PPD, I bet a lot of people are not running the best clients available for their systems. I bet a lot of people with multicore rigs are running the uniprocessor client. If they all started running SMP they could be a lot more productive...

Summer heat is what keeps me from folding all year round.... You could see more start ups when it cools down in the Oct/Nov timeframe.
 
Started folding about a month ago, but just now using the GPU3 client for my GTX 460. What a difference from the CPU systray client.

Alright everyone, Silent Predator helped me figure out a GPU problem i had... Question here is how do i get to run 2 seperate clients at the same time. I put my 8800 from the office into this rig and would like to get it going again. I did read something about adding flag's to the properties of the client but kept getting errors.

Someone care to walk me through it? Oh yeah, you probably have seen me going nuts on several threads about this, but WHICH 460 DO I BUY ?!!??! All have there ups and downs. I want a 1 gig model for sure, non reference cooler, dont care what it cost.

All i see from review sites is 850-950 oc's but need to hear more from users about what they actually achieve. thanks.

Oh yeah Freaking, i quit on getting the smp client to run 8 threads long ago. Just couldn't seem to get it to cooperate.
 
so, to get it to work, all I do is run the program (ive got my username and set up to the eGO team) so I just let it run away in the background when im idle?
 
I've ordered a laptop with a broken screen from ebay, gonna link up one of my old monitors to it and have it fold 24/7
 
I just added the eGO team to mine, I have been folding without a team for about 6 months.
