Install Windows 7 64-Bit on 32-Bit

How do I install Windows 7 64-Bit on Windows 7 32-Bit?:confused1:

I don't get what you're asking. You don't install both, you install one. Unless of course you want to dual-boot 32 and 64 bit...

So just do a clean install, format your HDD and go from there.

You should not be able to install a 64-bit OS on a box with a CPU that only supports a 32-bit architecture.

If you know your machine can handle 64-bit, make a partition leaving about 100+ gigs for your OS. Move all your stuff over to the new partition, and do a clean install... That is unless there is nothing worth saving from your 32-bit system.

you first got to make sure your cpu can handle 64bit than back up your stuff and wipe out the old win7 when your installing the new one.

Yush. Just like it has been said here. Be sure you have a 64-bit CPU. That's the first thing.

Other thing is that you can't have both 32 and 64-bit OSs. Either you format the whole HDD, which is the better option, or installed the 64-bit OS on the same HDD and the setup will move the old windows into a "windows.old" folder, leaving you with all your old files and such.

You'd be best off if you backup first, or at least save any personal files and such on a removable HDD or a flash drive first, then format the HDD and do a clean install for the 64-bit. That way there wont be any issues later on.
